Translating from Japanese as ‘beautiful child’, we have grown and nurtured Miko like a child.

Miko Designs has been a journey of creativity and passion. Along the way, our experiences have been as diverse as they are colourful: from a lively stint in a puppetry company to meticulously kerning in QuarkXPress during our graphic design days, and cutting film. In their own way, each step has shaped what Miko represents today which culminated in the opening of our furniture store in Canberra’s Fyshwick in 2018.

Miko is inspired by the endless creative possibilities and other’s creative processes. We value conceptual and experimental art and design, underpinned by common principles of design applied across disciplines.
