Miko has one ex-display Tri Pendant Light by Resident for sale.

Designed by George Nelson in 1952, these elegant fixtures are fashioned from a sturdy, lightweight steel frame yet have a delicate, floating quality.
The Nelson Cigar Bubble Pendant is an elegant, elongated ceiling lamp with parallel lines that accentuate its silhouette. This lamp will warm up any interior with soft light as it floats overhead. It comes with a steel ceiling plate.
Nelson was inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish hanging lamps that he wanted to acquire for his office, but he found the price to be prohibitive. An ingenious and resourceful designer, he went on to create the first set of Nelson Bubble Lamps using a translucent white plastic spray, a technique developed by the U.S. military at the time. Nelson drew from elemental, organic shapes to make an array of variations that form the collection.

The inspiration for the Acacia came from the psychedelic properties found in some Acacia trees native to Australia. Akin to a swirling ball of energy, the Acacia suggests a cyclical movement of flowing energy from within the light.
Opal white poly-carbonate sheets are cut into seed pod shapes and attached to stainless steel wires. The pod shapes are then arranged in a spiralling manner, anchored to the central hub creating a sphere.

Embodying the values of Scandinavian design, the Ambit Pendant Lamp is as timeless as it is contemporary. Made of hand-spun aluminium that has been hand-painted, the Ambit Pendant Lamp has a white interior to heighten contrasts of its outside shade and enhance the light omitted.
The Bloom Pendant’s super-elliptical form is inspired by the gentle dynamic flow of paper lanterns. Its glorious lit effect is the result of transparency and light. Two contrasting materials – a finely perforated mesh core and frosted blown glass, combine to project a soft focus texture onto the inside of the shade.
At the same time, an unobstructed pool of light is projected downwards onto objects below. Bloom’s distinct character is evident both in its on and off state, creating a versatile, value for money pendant light.

Piton takes its name from a climbing apparatus that is jammed into cracks and crevices on mountainsides to which the climber can attach hooks, tools and ropes while rigging it in various positions, an element that is also present in the design of the Piton Portable Lamp. Featuring an LED light source and diffuser, the Piton Portable Lamp can provide direct as well as ambient lighting alongside the steel counterweight in its handle allowing for it to rest in a variety of positions. In short, the Piton Portable Lamp seeks to encourage its user to explore their surroundings.

Made of solid walnut and ebonised ash, these stools designed by Charles and Ray Eames can be used anywhere, individually or in groups, and are beautifully versatile.
Are they really stools? Places to sit? Are they tables? Plant stands? Accent pieces for homes, offices or lobbies? Yes. They’ve been called abstract chess pieces. Well, no. The centre section of the Eames Turned Stool is crafted in three distinctively shaped profiles. Choose the one you like, or choose two or three – the same or different. The Eames Turned Stool is made of turned walnut or ebonised ash; pick it up and you can instantly tell that it’s solid wood.
Designed for lobbies of the Time-Life Building in 1960, this stool functions as a place to sit or a small table. First introduced in walnut as Eames Walnut Stool, it’s now available in a new shape and in ebonised ash. The new name reflects the process still used to manufacture the stool.
A museum curator once ordered two of these stools for his son and daughter. “Graduation gifts?” he was asked. “No,” he said, “the kids are only five and three. But I want them to have the experience of growing up with something truly good that they can keep all their lives.”
The Offset Stool / Side table is a playful and irregular piece, which displays the beauty of solid oak in generous proportions. Each Offset leg attaches via an off-centre threaded connector, which enables the legs to locate themselves in an individualised and adjustable position.
Solid, stable and hardwearing, this is a durable piece for everyday use.
The Offset family includes a dining table, bench, stool and shelf.
The thin welded frame of the Airy Table series creates a geometric and sophisticated silhouette that is further refined by a light, slim tabletop. There are four table sizes in the series, all suitable for a range of functions, from side table to coffee table. The Airy Table series has a playful yet quiet personality, making it an easy addition to any space.
Accentuating the look of folded paper yet created in metal, the Folded Shelves are at once delicate and substantive. The shelves are practical and aesthetically pleasing—ideal for use as a nightstand, in the bathroom, hallway, kitchen, or office.
Produced from high-quality wood, the Dots’ sculptural design can be arranged on the wall in exactly the pattern and colour combination that is desired. The versatile Dots are ideal for offices, hotel rooms and reception areas.
Charles and Ray Eames elevated the everyday coat rack into something so fun, you'll think twice before burying a Hang-It-All in coats.
First crafted with multicoloured hooks and a white wire frame, the material and colour offering has since expanded with fidelity to the sophistication—and sense of play—of the original.
To create the rack’s wire frame, which attaches to walls or other structures, Charles and Ray and the Eames Office applied the mass-production techniques for welding wires they had developed for earlier designs. The frame has a durable powder coat finish, and each of its angular bends is capped with solid wood balls. Still noted for its whimsy, the Hang-It-All is also appreciated as a useful piece of art.
Not Often Enough, 2020, 62 cm x 62 cm, woodblock carving, black, framed.
My work is often about recording details of a particular moment in time as I attempt to capture my ephemeral presence and ultimately create a sense of belonging. By focussing my attention on micro details, I can escape into a simplified world of line, form and texture. I find the process of repetitive carving to be a meditative experience and I enjoy getting lost in this process of mark making.
Isobel Rayson works from a small studio in rural New South Wales, Australia. Her practice is diverse and driven by process-based methodologies. She predominantly creates abstract woodblock carvings based on recollections of her daily observations.
Isobel often draws inspiration from her rural landscape, discovering accidental and intentional marks and patterns found in her surroundings. These observations make their way on to the canvas of the woodblock abstracted through their size, simplified form, and repetition.
Shadow Friend 110 cm x 110 cm, acrylic and oil on canvas.
Shadow Friend is part of a series of landscape artworks that explore and engage in an aesthetic appreciation of evanescence. Each artwork is a celebration of a moment, and the brevity of which a thought or living thing can be captured at any one time. Each artwork aims to explore the rhythmic essence of nature and its imperfections.
Shadow Friend can be viewed in the Miko Designs showroom located at 1/72 Barrier Street, Fyshwick.
Aqua Appia 78 cm x 52.5 cm, oil on canvas, framed in natural Tasmanian oak.
Aqua Appia is appropriately named in honour of another ingenious, man-made invention, the first Roman Aqua-duct. A minimalist abstraction using a stunning aqua and blue colour scheme. Symbolising water, the essence of all life and man itself.
This original artwork is painted onto a fine art Italian linen mounted to board and sold framed in a Tasmanian oak slimline frame.
Signed by the artist on the back of the artwork as to not interrupt the design.
Australian artist Tory Burke is renowned for her unique oil paintings and use of textured mixed media. From 1992-1995, Tory studied Art and Design at Melbourne School of Art under Robert Gill, where she developed her unique style and explored her far from traditional aesthetic.
Having adopted a sense of minimalism and often featuring abstract paintings full of colour, strong line work, and sparkling glazes, Tory has recently introduced Australian ceramics as a medium in her artwork, creating a unique 3D collage effect. She concentrates on the pattern, shape and form of the ceramics to add a sculptural element to her design, for example, the feathers of a bird or the petals of a flower.
Aqua Appia can be viewed in the Miko Designs showroom located at 1/72 Barrier Street, Fyshwick.
Made from powder coated steel frames with coloured mirror glass, the Framed Mirrors is a gently artistic interpretation of the classic mirror. Though still functioning as reflecting glass, the colours, shapes and its ability to be arranged in groups gives the mirror a distinct character.
The Kink Vase brings a contemporary form to the archetypal flower vase through a combination of traditional craftsmanship and playful design language. With its double opening, the Kink Vase adds a sculptural sentiment to the room, even when not in use. The design is made in porcelain that has been glazed on the inside for a refined touch.
The Ridge Vase presents a new way to display flowers through its sculptural expression along with an artful character when not in use. The design features added functionality through its refined dent, allowing flowers to stand upright while also working as a subtle handle when moving the vase from one room to another.

Aram 2 by Kvadrat explores the dynamic between volume, structure and colour. Handwoven from pure New Zealand wool, it offers a fresh interpretation of the traditional Sumak weaving technique.
Aram 2 is characterised by subtle movement across its surface, created through meticulous colour blending and a richly textured weave. Bundles of plied yarns are looped around the warp to form a multidimensional expression reminiscent of magnified braided ribs.
Each yarn is space-dyed by hand in gradual tonal stages, moving from lighter to darker shades. This process gives every thread its own colour variation, resulting in refined nuances and a gentle rhythm of colour across the rug.
The result is an exceptionally comfortable, tactile wool rug suited to contemporary living rooms, dining spaces and commercial interiors.

Designed by Hella Jongerius, Bold is made using a combination of mechanical and hand-spun yarns resulting in a thick, warm and expressive rug. Bulky and irregular in character, it is the epitome of tactility, a quality that Hella believes to be ‘the most important and best-known characteristic of a rug’.
Bold is woven by skilled weavers from India using yarn that has been dyed after it is twisted. This produces an interesting effect as the dye does not penetrate completely to the yarn’s core.
With its sober colouring and simple but distinctive asymmetric design, Bold can make a statement in a space helping to structure it and aid in the placement of furniture.

Featuring the delicate, organic irregularities reminiscent of natural surfaces, it might be a surprise to learn that Braid is made from recycled post-consumer polyester. Designed by Karin An Rijlaarsdam focusing on creating sustainable designs with a positive environmental impact – the rug is inspired by braiding techniques, crafts and the landscapes of Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast where she is based. It is the first design in the Kvadrat rug collection including recycled polyester.
Braid is made from braided ropes – one thick, one thin. The slimmer rope is stitched in a slightly wavy curve on the thick ropes which gives a beautiful irregularity to the design, then arranged as a spiral for the round rugs, or in rows for the rectangular design, before being stitched into place. To finish, a fine rope is sewn around the rug and the border is refined with a 10 cm wrapping detail on the lower right edge or corner. The making of Braid results in minimal production waste thanks to its stitching technique.
Strong and durable, it is a design that suits both residential and commercial use.

A bold design in a twill construction using felted mill spun yarns for both weft and warp, Dashes is a flat woven rug that takes the classic two coloured pied de poule and abstracts it into a multicoloured poly-dimensional graphic.
The warp is built out of yarns in six different colours, a plain colour used in alternation with a colourful multicoloured stripe. The weft sees a slightly thicker yarn used, with two contrasting neutral colours interchanged. On the top of each rug the dark colour builds the rip of the twill and on the lower part the rip is woven in a lighter colour. The locking yarn corresponds to the rip of the twill.

Guided by the idea that contrast can and should be complimentary, Duotone’s elegance derives from its apparent simplicity. Using only two colours – one for the weft and one for the warp – shades which might otherwise be in opposition, are combined with varied densities of yarn to create a unique identity.
Duotone’s soft yet distinctive palette has received a recolour that lends new depth to colour pairings ranging from sulphate blue to coral. Its signature muted irregularity is paired with what Hella Jongerius describes as “the most simple flat-woven basket construction; the archetype of weaving” — a nod to Hallingdal, Kvadrat’s iconic basket-woven textile.
Combining quiet intricacies of colour and texture, Duotone offers a powerful statement that never overpowers.

Yield Dot adds a unique twist and shares the same two-coloured body construction as Yield but incorporates a third coloured yarn interwoven using the Lancé technique. This distinctive technique results in small, visible dots on the front side of the rug, while longer flotations are observed on the backside. With consistent spacing, the quantity of dots varies depending on the rug's size.
In Yield Dot, all colourways exclusively feature naturally coloured wool in both the warp and weft. The wool used in the warp includes a blend of different hues, coming from the natural variations of the sheep themselves. These are complemented by a range of natural and dyed shades in the weft. The combination of robust, sturdy woollen fibres and a durable construction ensures the rugs’ longevity.
For rectangular rugs, the short edges can be finished with an option of 3cm long fringes, or with a two-coloured hand binding that matches the colour of the rug. The selvedges feature a loom binding.

The Cuero Pampa Mariposa Chair is a refined take on the iconic Butterfly Chair, combining thick vegetable-tanned leather with a durable steel frame for everyday comfort.
Made in Sweden using premium Italian leather, each chair develops a unique patina over time, making it a lasting piece for both residential and commercial spaces.
The story of the Mariposa Chair
In the late 1930’s two young architects Juan Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy returned to Buenos Aires with Antonio Bonet i Castellana, a Catalonian colleague and friend with whom they had been collaborating. Together, the three of them brought a clear vision for a modern version of Fenby’s 1877 ‘La Tripolina’ chair. Unveiled in 1938, their chair featured a 12 mm steel frame and a heavy-duty leather seat.
Only a few examples were produced. Despite winning some awards, the chairs were left unsold in a Buenos Aires store. Two of the chairs were finally brought to the US, one of which went to Fallingwater, and the other which can still be admired at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Some years after the World War II, a new generation was ready for the trio’s seating concept. Originally named the ‘BKF’ (the initials of the three designers), the design became known as the “Butterfly Chair” or the “Bat”. Mass production took off in the 1950s and 1960s.
After more than 25 years in the leather industry, four new and exciting versions of this modern classic are now being produced in Sweden.
Materials and craftsmanship
The leather used in the Pampa Mariposa Chair is sourced from cattle raised on the grasslands of Argentina. Each hide is unique, contributing to the character of every chair.
A slow vegetable tanning process enhances the durability and depth of the leather, while skilled craftsmanship ensures a precise and long-lasting finish.
This focus on natural materials and careful production results in a chair that gains character over time rather than wearing out.
