Verso Rug – Muuto

Pebble Rug has a diverse and tactile surface, inspired by the sensuous feeling of walking across a pebbled beach. With a handwoven structure, Pebble Rug contrasts the materials of its soft, woollen loops with its sturdy canvas base in a cooling jute yarn.

Margrethe Odgaard is part of the new generation of textile designers in Denmark. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2005, she worked as a textile designer in Philadelphia, and later in Paris, before setting up a design studio in Copenhagen in 2013. Relevo is a soft rug with a distinctly sculptural quality. Its striking graphic pattern is produced by trimming the tufted wool in different levels, thereby creating an eye-catching shadow play that gives a sense of being two-tone rather than monochrome. The rug’s single rounded corner gives it a unique character, a dynamic expression in any setting.

Studiopepe is an Italian multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan, founded by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinot. The duo is known for their distinct way of working with composition and graphic form, as their unexpected concepts and stories vividly take physical form. Internationally acclaimed, their practice encompasses anything from architecture, product design and exhibitions to creative direction, installation and styling.

The Ply rug gently hints towards the weaving traditions of the past, seen by the woven tails of the design. Available in six sizes and seven colours in 100% wool, the Ply rug is a high-quality and expertly-crafted area rug that will bring subtle warmth to any room.

Made from 100% recycled polyester from post-consumer waste, the Ply Rug Recycled Polyester provides a homey, tactile experience with an elegant look. With its name meaning “shadows” in Finnish, the Varjo Rug hints towards how the woven texture creates a sense of shadow and light within the weave. With a unique pattern and discreet colour-blocking, the Varjo Rug is hand-woven from 100% New Zealand wool.

Tina Ratzer is a Danish designer with a degree in textile design and weaving, from the Design School Kolding, in Denmark. In 1999, Tina founded her own studio Ratzer, and since then her designs have been selected for several exhibitions, such as the Crafts and Design Biennale in Rundetårn, Copenhagen. Her work is characterized by a geometric expression and a balanced color scheme, with a twist or a surprising detail that lets the techniques of the craftsmanship step forward and become an important part of the work.

Verso Rug explores simplicity through technique, translating the logic of a plain weave into a balanced and tactile design. Crafted from 100% wool, the rug features an equal interplay between warp and weft, creating a surface that appears identical from both sides.

Hand-twisted fringes on all four edges frame the rug, highlighting the craftsmanship behind the piece while allowing it to be positioned freely within a space. The composition of two colours, meeting and blending across the surface, adds subtle depth, bringing a sense of rhythm and balance to any room.

Relevo Quattro is a soft rug defined by a sculptural surface and a clear rectangular form with four distinct corners. Crafted from tufted wool trimmed at different levels, the design forms a precise graphic pattern where fine lines create nuanced shadow play across the surface.

Available in the same colour palette as the Relevo collection, Quattro introduces a more architectural and graphic dimension while preserving the tactile depth of the series.
