The Auctioneer is a natural extension of Simon James’s low profile Arcade Collection.

With an increased seat height and multi-density foam fill offset by refined arm detailing, the Auctioneer Chair is designed to give a supportive, comfortable experience for both work and repose. It's smaller footprint allows versatility and practicality, suitable for a range of spaces from more formal sitting areas, to lobbies and commercial lounges.

The Miller single seater by Simon James is an exercise in refinement.

Constructed with a steel frame, it is a chair designed to use only the essential to give a lightweight aesthetic. It works equally well in the home or the office, and can sit as a single piece or in multiples running side by side, back to back or as opposites.

The Park Chair takes the refined arm detailing from our Arcade and Auctioneer ranges, and applies it to a new rounded silhouette, designed to work for both home and office.

Sculptural curves are offset by its grounded form and generous size, creating a piece that offers both structured support and relaxation. Comprising timber frame construction, an upholstered seat in multi-density foam, and a foam and feather combination in the back cushion for comfortable back support.

This compact version is designed to offer the same sculptural feel and supreme comfort as the larger chair, but with a smaller footprint - making it suitable for more intimate spaces. Comprising timber frame construction, an upholstered seat in multi-density foam, and a foam and feather combination in the back cushion for comfortable back support.

The Parallel Lounge Chair celebrates its robust steel frame rather than concealing it in the upholstery.

The powdercoated steel frame provides support alongside a moulded plywood back, creating a robust yet visually light appearance. The upholstered seat and back are made from a combination of foam and feather, giving superior soft comfort. 

Generous in size, the attention to detail here is meticulous, from the complex connections between steel and upholstery, to the flexible shaped feet.

The Portrait Chair by Simon James draws inspiration from the stark Brutalist Architecture of the 1950s, reimagining it as a modern take on a club chair.

Distilled down to geometric block forms, the chair’s sincerity and simplicity are achieved through each element’s precise scale and angle; the arched back, squared arms, and fixed seat cushion come together to create an armchair that is both sculptural and comfortable.

The main body of the chair cantilevers over the base plinth, adding a visual lightness to the design. This chair is suitable for a wide range of spaces - from larger commercial areas and lobbies to waiting rooms and more intimate home settings.

The Portrait Chair is available in full upholstery options, or with a contrasting timber base plinth.

The Isabella Chair is an exercise in the play-off of proportions. Its ultra-slim three-legged steel base provides robust support and acts as a deliberate variant against the gracefully rounded tailored back and plump softness of the seating cushion.
