Glory Rug – Kvadrat

Glory is inspired by the development of the colour palette and blanket for Lattice – a houndstooth rug also designed by Hella Jongerius. Glory combines colours inspiring a new effect with a patchwork design of multihued squares.
As uplifting as it is warming, Glory’s construction, like Lattice, features a houndstooth graphic. However, flat-woven using different yarns and colours in the warp and weft, a more complex rhythm and colour shift are apparent, and the final design is an expressive check that reveals many surprising colour combinations.
Whether seen from afar or up close, the colours swim delightfully in and out of focus, sometimes appearing fuzzy while never losing their vibrancy, making Glory a colourful rug that will brighten any interior.
